INAUGURATION OF WOMEN’S HELP DESK IN ALL POLICE STATIONS

Inauguration of Women’s Help Desk in all police Stations

On 03.07.2026, in the virtual presence of the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Shuvendu Adhikari, the Honorable Director General of Police (DGP), the Chief Secretary, other distinguished government officials, and public representatives, the auspicious inauguration of the Women’s Help Desk was conducted in all police stations of West Bengal through virtual means. This initiative has been taken with the aim of ensuring safer, more sensitive, and easily accessible police services for women and girls. Through the Women’s Help Desk, women will receive more empathetic, confidential, and prompt services for their complaints, problems, and necessary assistance. At the inauguration ceremony held at the Burdwan Sadar Police Station in Purba Bardhaman district, the Honorable Superintendent of Police of Purba Bardhaman district, Ms.  Pushpa, IPS, along with other police officers of the district, were present. Purba Bardhaman District Police is always committed to the goals of women’s safety, dignity, and empowerment.
