26.06.2026 is International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Drugs are not just a threat to an individual, but a serious danger to families, society, and future generations. Drug abuse is one of the primary causes of crime, violence, and social decay. Purba Bardhaman District Police is committed to taking strict legal action against the illegal production, trafficking, and sale of narcotic substances. Along with this, various awareness programs — including marches — are being organized to raise public consciousness and educate the youth about the harmful effects of drugs.In today’s program held in Burdwan town, the   Superintendent of Police, Purba Bardhaman District Police, Ms. Pushpa IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Shri Shantanu Chowdhury, and other officials were present.Let us all take a pledge —
